The days of walking up to a TicketsWest outlet to buy tickets for a Knitting Factory show are no more. As of April 23, all ticket sales for Knitting Factory shows will go through Ticketfly.com. It's a change that was inevitable, Mark Dinerstein, a talent buyer for the national concert chain, says. In fact, Spokane's the last of the venues to switch over. 

"We as a company in Boise, New York, L.A., Reno — we're a Ticketfly company. We've made that transition," he says. "There's never a good time to do it, but we've been developing the technology and catering it for Spokane."

Dinerstein says that customers will notice cheaper service fees than if they were to use a provider like Ticketmaster (Ticketfly shows carry literally half the fees of Ticketmaster shows, but are just barely cheaper than TicketsWest shows). 

"On a national scale, we're half of what the major markets are."

As of April 23, all shows will switch over to Ticketfly, regardless of if the show is on sale now at Ticketswest. (Don't worry: If you bought a ticket for a future show through TicketsWest, it's still good.) And though there are no retail outlets in Spokane yet, tickets for any show can be purchased at the Knitting Factory box office on any show night after 5:30 pm.
