Kevin Coe still fighting — Lawyers argued yesterday that "South Hill Rapist" Kevin Coe's civil commitment sentence should be undone because evidence used against him was inadmissible. (SR)

Sheriff's deputy canned for knife incident — Deputy Travis Smith committed malicious mischief during a traffic stop last summer, when he found in a woman's car a set of brass knuckles with a knife on it and plunged the blade into the back seat. (KXLY)
