Spokane detective charged with obstructing — An off-duty detective has been charged with obstructing a state Fish and Wildlife officer who was trying to question the detective and a few youths, who had been shooting guns after-hours. (SR)

Officer speeding when he hit pedestrian — An investigative response team found that SPD Officer Gordon Ennis was exceeding the speed limit by 4-9 mph on Sunday when he struck John VanCurler, who later died from his injuries. (NWCN)
