Laughing all the way to prison — The Spokesman-Review describes an April Fools prank from some guy's girlfriend that resulted in him getting 11.5 years in prison. Zing! (SR)

Taser fatality — Pend Oreille County got a sober reminder that Tasers can be just as fatal as guns. A man has died after being tased by Pend Oreille sheriff's deputies. (KREM)

The recession that's technically been over for months may soon be actually over  — Unemployment over the last two months was at the lowest levels in two years. Of course, that's not including people who have given up, and people who have been looking for jobs for so long they're no longer counted. (KXLY)

Untruths?! On the Internet?! — On today, of all days, Hulu goes old-timey, YouTube goes even more old-timey, GMail takes a cue from the Kinect, ThinkGeek once again advertises its traditional slew of even-more-impractical-than-usual products, Comics Alliance reveals that the Spiderman musical has had yet another setback, Animal Planet releases a press release (which several news outlets believed) announcing an upcoming "Snake on the Town" documentary on the Bronx Zoo Cobra, and Google gives horrifying, stomach-churning results for "Helvetica" (The Internet)
