Waste of time? — Remember that super long debate about the nation's debt? Well, it turns out Congress were too distracted to figure out how to pay for 4,000 Federal Aviation Administration employees, which could cost the country $1 billion. Whoops! Train severs foot — Last night a man tried to cross the tracks at Third and Ash. He didn't get out of the way on time and his foot was severed. (KREM)

Tribe recognizes same sex marriage — Beating almost every state and the nation to the punch, a Western Washington American Indian tribe is now officially recognizing same sex marriages. (SR)

Dam judge — A federal judge, for the third time, told the government that their salmon protection plan was inadequate, that it might have to remove some dams and to go back to the drawing board. Salmon spawn rejoiced, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers flipped the judge a bird. (CJF)
