Spokane's Globes are Seattle's Best Rock Band

Posted By on Wed, Aug 3, 2011 at 12:55 PM

According to the Seattle Weekly Best Of poll, former Spokies The Globes have the best chance "to restore Seattle’s reputation as the country’s most notable rock city."

High honors, for sure.

They're actually both former and current Spokies, back in town to avoid high Seattle rents while on tour promoting their region-conquering album, Future Self

This comes after Dry Fly won "Best Local Distillery" in the poll last year.

We don't want to bury the story here — the Globes deserve credit for being one of Spokane's most creative, forward-thinking products.

Still, though, the Globes, Dry Fly... Proof to us that Seattle has a little Spokane envy.
