A paltry $100,000 a year? -- Mayoral David Condon has, as he promised in his campaign, kept his salary at Mary Verner's voluntarily lower salary -- at least for his first year. And by now, he must know: If he gives up that money, he ain't getting it back. (SR)

Paper disposal -- About 500 Easterner papers were dumped in a recycling bin at Eastern Washington University. Stealing even free papers, after all, is illegal. (KXLY)

Back to the clinic -- The Susan G. Komen foundation -- the breast cancer group you see raising all the awareness -- had infuriated supporters of Planned Parenthood by withdrawing funding from the organization (which, while general supporters of women's health, does not provide mammograms.)
