If you hear a lot of sizzling noises coming from schools and community centers around Eastern Washington, that's because lawmakers will be heading home for an in-person grilling by constituents over the next few weeks.

Here are some of the lawmakers who will be stopping over in the Inland Northwest. 

Rep. Matt Shea

Matt Shea (R-Spokane Valley) will be holding a town hall meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 22. Shea has made the news lately for his outspoken opposition to the state's recently passed law permitting same-sex marriages.

Rep. Kevin Parker

Rep. Kevin Parker (R-Spokane) will host another town hall meeting this week for constituents in northwest Spokane.

Tomorrow, Parker will face the voters in person at town hall meeting in the multipurpose room at Ridgeview Elementary School, 5610 North Maple St, starting at 11 am.

A bill by Parker aimed at cutting Medicaid fraud recently passed the House with near-unanimous approval.

Rep. Susan Fagan

Rep. Susan Fagan (R-Colfax), will host a telephone town hall meeting on Feb. 21 starting at 6:35 p.m. Fagan has focused on agriculture and education issues during this legislative session.

Voters can participate by calling 1-877-229-8493 and entering PIN number 15605. 

Reps. Timm Ormsby and Andy Billig, both Spokane Democrats, will host a town hall meeting tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the West Central Community Center auditorium at 1603 North Belt St.

Billig has proposed a number of bills this session, including one intended to allow people to see who has donated money to a ballot measure. Meanwhile, Ormsby has worked on passing the state's capital budget and proposing bills to hinder illegal contractors.

Rep. John Ahern

Rep. John Ahern (R-Spokane) an advocate for measures to limit instances of drunk driving in favor of setting aside more resources for state services will be holding a town hall meeting tomorrow Feb. 18. from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the North Spokane County Library located at 44 East Hawthorne Road. Spokane City Council Member Nancy McLaughlin will arrive at 4 p.m. to provide an update on city issues and give a local government perspective.
