Hold onto your sprinklers, lawn-pokes: Mayor David Condon's miracle fix is on its way for the much-maligned water rate plan the city passed last year.
The proposal will be ready for a public presentation between 10 days and two weeks from now, according to city spokeswoman Marlene Feist. Feist says she doesn't know whether the proposal will be made at a study session or a town hall-style meeting.
Since the Spokane City Council wants to inspect the plan and offer a counter-proposal, Councilwoman Amber Waldref says any changes won't be made until at least April.
But if the mayor-council negotiation demands more time, it may take until later this spring to approve a new water-rate structure.
