THIS WEEKEND IN MUSIC: Boom Blap! Fruit Bats! BB King!

Posted By on Fri, May 4, 2012 at 3:24 PM

TONIGHT!

Your best bet for music tonight in downtown Spokane is probably to make the First Friday rounds, where lots of bands have teamed up with local art shows for free, awesome entertainment. Check out our map of the events here.

Over at the Hop! tonight, Spokane's exclusively all-ages venue, Boom Blap is happening tonight! That's a glitchy, bass driven show that goes pretty much all night long. Check out two rooms of DJs (including Thumper, who's playing at our upcoming Volume Block Party), who'll play from 8:30 tonight to 3 in the morning. It's 16+, and costs $15 at the door.

SATURDAY! (CINCO DE MAYOOOOO)

Hugely popular locals, Terrible Buttons, team up with Los Vigiles tomorrow for a show at Geno's at 8 pm. All-ages.

The amazing Fruit Bats come through Pullman's the Belltower tomorrow night — check out our story we did on them here. You might as well stay through Monday — call in sick if you have to: Joe Pug plays the Belltower on Sunday, and The Drums play on Monday.

Another big local-ish show tomorrow at Jones Radiator: Horse Thieves and Buffalo Death Beam (from Moscow, Idaho) at 9 pm. Five bucks. Gotta be 21.

Oh, and no big deal: BB KING IS HERE TOMORROW!

UNRELATED: Buy your ticket to our GIANT local music festival NOW! They're only five bucks, but won't be forever!
