A Blog in Which Our Music Editor Explodes With Happiness

As of today, it's official: there are some amazing shows coming to the Spokane area in the next couple of months.

My excitement started with the announcement that one of my favorite musicians of all-time will be playing The A Club on September 30: Mike Watt and the Missingmen. Watt's played Spokane several times before — but I've never had the pleasure of seeing him. Here's a video of the Minutemen legend himself.

The A Club is kind of killing it, in fact, over the next couple of months.

Hiero Imperium (featuring members of Hieroglyphics) on Aug. 10

Torche on Aug. 15

Aesop Rock with Rob Sonic on Sept. 7

My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult on Sept. 16

Black Tusk on Oct. 22

Helmet and the Toadies on Nov. 1

Tickets for all of those shows are available at aclubspokane.com.

And, 90s alt rockers Local H are playing Carr's Corner, of all places, on Sept. 30. We'll let you know where to get tickets for that show.
