One way to deal with people talking on the phone at the airport

This video has been going viral in the past few days, perfectly timed to remind us of everything that’s irritating about traveling around the holidays.

Comedian Greg Benson, who makes prank-like videos as Mediocre Films, sits down near people making lengthy phone calls at the airport and starts talking into his own phone as if he’s the other half of the conversation. For the most part, no one takes it too poorly.

Anyone who’s overheard too many loud personal conversations at the airport — or anywhere — can relate.

As far as holiday air travel horror stories go, this story about a Northwest Airlines flight in 1999 still holds the title for most relatable nightmare. (If that link sends you to the paywall, google “Seven Hours of Sitting and Waiting Leaves Northwest Passengers Near Breaking Point.”) And who knows? The couple that annoyed everyone at the beginning of that flight ended up being helpful after all.
