MORNING BRIEFING: Marijuana bankers and tiger crossings

Numerica Credit Union, based in Spokane Valley, says it will serve accounts for pot growers and processors, but not retailers. Numerica is the first Washington financial institution willing to serve the state's new marijuana industry. (S-R)

In other pot news, Spokane County is easing its marijuana lot size and property line restrictions that would have hurt growers in agricultural zones. (S-R)

The Spokane Police is now handing out warnings to violators of the city's expanded sit-lie ordinance restrictions, passed last winter, which prohibits sitting or lying on public sidewalks between the hours of 6 am to midnight. (KXLY)
