Happy hump day! We're halfway through the week, and that calls for Wednesday fun. We've got a whole bunch of ideas for you listed in our
events and
Staff Picks.
Find it easier to pick from a smaller set of options? Here's the cream of the crop for Feb. 4:
WORDS | Ever wanted to just sit back, chow down on a burrito and listen to some slam poetry? Whether you've actually had that dream or are just now intrigued by the very concept, this is a very real possibility thanks to Neato Burrito's weekly
Broken Mic event. Head on over at 6:30 pm and you're guaranteed to leave full of enlightenment and tortilla wrapped goodness.
VISUAL ARTS | Feeling artistic? Spokane Falls Community College is coming up on the tail end of an installation called
Couch Potato which immerses audience members into art videos from the 1960's all the way to the present day. The exhibit is only open from 8:30 am -3:30 pm so you'll have to catch it early. It's gone for good this Friday, so it might be worth cutting your work day short.
WORDS | At 6:30 pm, The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture is hosting archaeologist Stacey Camp, who will be presenting a lecture entitled
Evacuating Justice. It's all about a World War II Japanese Internment site in Idaho, and it is sure to be an incredibly engaging and eye-opening lecture about the history of a place we all live in close proximity to.
