You've made it to the weekend, so go ahead and congratulate yourself on surviving another work week! Perhaps an outing is in order, like one of the possibilities in our event listings and Staff Picks. 

Here are a few highlights for Friday, April 10: 

VISUAL ARTS | The Art Spirit Gallery in Coeur d'Alene opens a new show called, appropriately, New Work by 10 Artists, including Chris Bivins, Beth Cavener, Morse Clary, Peter Cox, Kathy Gale, Ben Joyce, Jerri Lisk, Mel McCudding, Carla O'Connor and Sarah Swett. A reception starts at 5 pm, and you can check out the work til 8 tonight, and through May 9. 

THEATER | The Spokane Civic Theatre, hot on the heels of a sold-out run of Clue: The Musical, returns to the mystery genre for its new show, Sherlock Holmes: Curse of the Sign of Four. Fans of Britain's finest detective will surely find a lot to love. 

VISUAL ARTS/BENEFIT | Dodson's Jewelers hosts a special event, The Art of Rwanda, and artist Innocent Nkurunziza will be on hand to present a discussion on "How Art and Medicine are Saving Lives" in Rwanda. The event is a fundraiser for Spokane's Healing Hearts Northwest.
