Christmas music done the local way

Posted By on Sat, Dec 5, 2015 at 10:00 PM

Christmas music bombards us this time of year, blasting through loudspeakers seemingly everywhere you go. Most of it is cheesy and sappy, albeit playing well to our nostalgic heartstrings. But there are folks out there trying to make Christmas music a little bit brighter.

The Spokane music venue the Bartlett has once again teamed up with local musical acts to bring us original Christmas tunes as well as covers. Artists included on this year’s playlist, which just dropped Friday, are: Cathedral Pearls (Karli and Caleb Ingersoll own the Bartlett), Friends of Mine (Their track “I Just Want Stuff” is spot on), Loomer, Pérenne and Lucas Brown. Here is a Christmas playlist you can safely blast in your home or in your car without getting annoyed.

Going along with the album, the Bartlett is hosting a Christmas show, which includes all of the album’s artists and more, Friday at 8 pm. You’ll probably want to get your tickets now, last year’s event sold out.

Check out tons of other Christmas music shows happening in the Inland Northwest here.
