SEEN IN SPOKANE: Free eggs!

Posted on Wed, Sep 8, 2010 at 8:59 AM

Some people say there's no such thing as a free lunch, but that's only true if you don't like poached eggs. It's unclear if the yolkers are available on a donation-based thing (perhaps as a free incentive for parking in the lot?), or maybe with a "take an egg, leave an egg" policy.

While the origin/intent of the lonely box of eggs is lost to the vagaries of history, there's still time to pick up yours. Grow your own chickens! Hard-boil the sucker! Just make sure you do it soon — they've been out there at least since yesterday morning, and offers like this won't last long*.

Got a weird photo from around town? Send it to joels[at]inlander[dot]com, along with your name and when, where and what the hell is going on in the picture. (The Inlander reserves the right to re-publish submitted photos on the web or in the newspaper.)

*Note: Please don't actually eat an egg (or any foodstuffs, really) you find on the side of the street in a box — regardless of price.
