MORNING HEADLINES: Cuts and buses

CHAS takes a hit - State budget cuts to health care providers will affect 14,000 uninsured patients of the Community Health Association of Spokane. (SR)

Police negotiations continue - The Spokane police guild submitted a new proposal to the City of Spokane on Wednesday, keeping the hope alive that they'll be able to save the jobs of 35 members from budget cuts. (SR)

Bus troubles - Spokane Schools students were stranded (KREM) when their bus became stuck in the snow while, in Cheney, seven STA bus riders had to be hospitalized (KXLY) fter their bus was rear-ended.

Brannon's troubles continue - The City of Coeur d'Alene says that Jim Brannon, who spent nearly a year disputing the results of the 2009 city council election, now owes them $36,000 in legal fees. (KXLY)
