To the male bicycle rider on Wednesday morning at the intersection of N.
Freya St and E. Francis Ave. at about 7:45. You no doubt are one of the
big complainers about the lack of respect shown to those of you with your
fancy bikes and even fancier Spandex riding togs. Well, let me be the
first to tell you that I have always gone out of my way to give you amble
room to ride on our roads. I try very hard to share. You, however, chose
to ignore the rules of the road that we all are supposed to abide by and
aggressively rode straight through the red light while the rest of the
traffic (cars and trucks) patiently waited for the light to change. You
certainly earned the lack of respect you complain about.
