Cats & amp; Dogs by Paul Black

Ah yes! The classic tale of good versus evil is yet again beaten to death. Listen, if you go into this movie with the expectation of watching nothing but cool animatronics then you will enjoy yourself; however, if you are interested getting a true movie experience, then leave immediately following the Harry Potter preview. Sure, it was kind of intriguing to watch dogs defend the fate of the world against the evil cats. You might argue that the special effects are worth giving up two precious hours of your life. They have their moments; do not be too critical of them and you will be fine. Anal-retentive people beware! You may end up internally discussing whether or not the cat or dog's mouth was actually moving at the right moment when you heard its voice.

I admit, being a dog lover, that I did shed a tear when the young puppy helped save all mankind and still found a way to become a part of a loving family. Now you are thinking, "Great! He gave away the ending" -- as if you couldn't guess the outcome. There is one bonus. Compared to most child-oriented films today, this is one of the less "threatening" options out there.
