Fast-talking Texan Richard Rawlings, the motor mastermind featured on Discovery Channel’s new series Fast N' Loud, knows just where to find the rusted, forgotten classic cars that his crew at Dallas-based Gas Monkey Garage restores and then turns into gold at the auction block. New episodes air on Wednesdays at 10 pm, allowing you to follow Rawlings and Gas Monkey’s mechanical genius, the heavily bearded Aaron Kaufman, as they scour the back roads of rural Texas for mid-century Fords, Chevys and other classics.

If the Internet really is ruled by cats, then Lil Bub is no doubt its queen. Bub — yes, she’s a girl, and no, she won’t have your cat’s babies — is a sickeningly cute, dwarf, “perma-kitten” feline who’s taken the ‘net by storm through her Tumblr, The stubby-legged, 22-toed cat was born with several genetic mutations that pretty much make her the cutest cat on the planet. Bub, born to a feral momma, was the runt of the litter and looked different than her sibs, having almost no lower jaw, no teeth and big, bulging eyes. Without the teeth, Bub’s little pink tongue sticks out all the time. Cute overload.

Last week, Cambridge, Mass.-based Passion Pit, an indie outfit known for its lilting falsetto vocals and beat-heavy synth melodies, released Gossamer, the follow-up to its acclaimed 2009 debut album Manners. Unlike the majority of Passion Pit’s past work, the dark lyrics of the tracks found on Gossamer aren’t overly masked by the group’s glittery sound, yet its key songs are still danceable. Here are a few you don’t want to miss: “I’ll Be Alright,” “Constant Conversations” and “Love is Greed.”
