Future Frontiers Robotics Experience

As part of the second annual Think Big Festival, organizers opened their Future Frontiers Robotic Experience on Saturday to the general public. The event, held at the Village at Riverpoint, in Couer d'Alene, Idaho, featured a vehicle installed with autonomy software, various air and water drones, a student created robotics project and 3D printing.

Gizmo Executive Director Barbara Mueller, left, discusses a 3D printed hand with Ava O'Halloran, center, who is wearing the hand, and her 8 year old sister Kaylin. Gizmo, based out of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, is a non-profit makerspace where people can learn to combine art, design and technology to create various projects. 13 year old Sam Beal made the hand, which is designed for people without hands to be able to have a hand mobility by using wrist gestures.
