Tuesday night music: Rising Lion
We wouldn't exactly call Spokane's reggae scene burgeoning, per se. We've got the excellent Real Life Rockaz and the all-reggae show, Call on YAHWEH, on KYRS… but, otherwise, Spokane feels pretty far from the Caribbean shores where reggae was born. However, tonight nationally-appreciated reggae outfit RISING LION stops into town to play a show at Brooklyn Nights. Songs are sweet and easy: a breeze of island air that is never too preachy or heavy-handed. Show starts at 8 pm.
