Carolers caroling, teenagers soul-baring, families dysfunctioning: THEATER THIS WEEKEND

Get in the Christmas spirit early with the Civic's main stage musical production of White Christmas, Fri-Sat 7:30 pm, Sun 2 pm 

Hilarious, unscripted, off-the-cuff, cooked-up-right-on-the-spot comedy at the Blue Door in the Garland District on Fridays at 8 pm and Saturdays at 9 pm. "Family Dinner" and "Safari" are the current shows, and they cost the same as a movie.

The best American play of the last decade will be performed readers theater-style for two nights only in Coeur d'Alene. August: Osage County presents three generations of seriously messed-up family dysfunction (but funny, too!) on Fri-Sat at 7:30 pm at Lake City Playhouse.

"The True Colors Project" presents North Central High School students in skits, songs, monologues and poems responding to the question, "What was the most significant event in your life?" Thurs-Sat 7:30 pm, $5, 1600 N. Howard St.

The Good Woman of Setzuan asks whether virtuous people can survive in a heartless world at SFCC's Spartan Theater, Bldg. 5, on Thurs-Sat 7:30 pm, Sun 2 pm. $8. Call 533-3222.
