THIS WEEKEND IN MUSIC: Xrin Arms! KYRS Party! Dance Party!

Posted By on Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 2:42 PM

Not a huge weekend for live music — but there's still a few good shows to check out.

TONIGHT!

Junkfest must have been fun because Xrin Arms (pronounced you're-in-arms), the oddball psychedelic guy who played here when Sunset Junction was still kicking, is playing again tonight. He'll take the stage with p.WRECKS and Guttaface tonight at Mootsy's. Check out this video of Xrin and p.WRECKS performing in Davey Crockett costumes. 10 pm. $5. Gotta be 21.

And for something completely different, upstairs at Aclub you can catch some chugga-chugga metal with Shaman's Harvest — the band who did the entrance theme song for WWE wrestler Drew McIntyre. Uh, sweet? 9 pm. $5. Gotta be 21.

TOMORROW!

Warm up at a super electro-pop dance party tomorrow at Empyrean! Former locals Pegasus Dream come back to play, bringing with them Atole (from Portland), Boyz IV Men (from San Francisco) and locals Please Draw In Me. This one's sure to be packed. 9 pm. $8. All-ages. Check out this video of Atole... kinda weird, but kinda awesome!

Blowing out seven birthday candles this year, KYRS 92.3 FM — Spokane's community radio station that we wrote about here — throws a big old birthday bash to celebrate. Grub by One World Spokane, drinks by Northern Lights and Dry Fly, a silent auction and music by Son Dulce and the Fat Tones. The party is at 7:30 pm at Silver Auctions (2020 N. Monroe St.). $15 - $18. All-ages.
