THIS WEEKEND IN MUSIC: Idols! Stone! Zoe!

by

Yes, it's Weekend in Music time, and we're here to report that there is officially not a lot of music happening this weekend! But there are a few things you might want to see.

TONIGHT!

Moshing galore tonight at the Hop! where

Idols, Straight to Our Enemies, Lost at Birth, Burning Twilight and Inlander Band to Watch FAUS take the stage. Get there at 7:30 pm, and have $5ish for the door. All-ages.

Yes, the worst bands seem to survive the longest, don't they? Candlebox proves this tonight onstage, singing all of their terrible songs from the 90s that people go absolutely apeshit for. They play with Lotus Crush and 33 at 8:30 pm at the Knitting Factory. It will cost you $23. All-ages.

Sipping, schmoozing as they do on the second Friday of each month: the Museum of Arts & Culture hosts BeGin! again tonight, this time with music by DJ wunderkind, Benjamin Jorgens. It's free, and all-ages. But you must have proper ID to drink. Duh.

SATURDAY!

If you like Boyz in da Hood (not the movie, the posse), you'll probably want to head to A Club for a show with Gorilla Zoe, the chubby fellow who took over for Young Jeezy. DJ Beauflexx opens. $20. All-ages.

You wouldn't expect the voice that comes out of Allen Stone to come out of Allen Stone. Seriously. He knows it, too. Check out our story on the soulful, Chewelah-born and bred R&B singer here, and then watch him up close and personal at his show tomorrow night at Coeur d'Alene Casino at 8 pm. It's free and all-ages. But if the drive is too far, Stone also plays Spokane's A Club on Sunday at 7 pm with Mon Cheri and Brian Griffing. That show will cost you $5.
