Early today, we wrote about the irony of the National Association of Ombudsman convention coming to Spokane right around the time Mayor David Condon had planned to toss Spokane Police Ombudsman Tim Burns onto the street.
Speaking on an unrelated matter this afternoon, I asked Burns whether he'd be here for the convention.
"I'm cautiously optimistic that you and I will be having concservations into next year," Burns told me.
Why? Burns says he's in contract negotiations with the mayor's office to stay on.
To be continued . . .
