A little "Thrift Shop" for National Thrift Store Day

It’s National Thrift Store Day, which we’re going to take the liberty of renaming the Macklemore and Ryan Lewis National Thrift Shop Day for this year. Earlier this year we wrote about Lewis’ Spokane roots, and “Thrift Shop” was a top contender for Best Song to Become the Official Anthem of the Inland Northwest in the 2013 Best Of readers poll. Our most-read blog post of the year is settling bets nationwide by explaining the correct way to pronounce “Macklemore.” And, of course, the duo is coming to the Spokane Arena in 66 days.

Macklemore is on the cover of Rolling Stone this month, and just yesterday they performed a few songs on Good Morning America, including “Thrift Shop”:
