Portland folk, Roast House's new tasting room and prickly drama

You'll want to get the weekend started a little early, and there's no better way to do that than by a quick trip through our event listings and Staff Picks for inspiration.

Here are some highlights for Thursday, April 2:

LIVE BANDS | Portland's Ages and Ages makes some fine modern folk, and the band's latest is infused with deep meaning due to the loss of several people close to the band. | Roast House is celebrating the opening of its new tasting room with a Tasting Room Party! So very apt.

THEATER | I saw God of Carnage a couple years back, and loved the way the play navigated some hilarious dialogue with genuinely uncomfortable subject matter. You can read more about the Modern Theater's take on the play in Coeur d'Alene right here. Then consider a night out to see for yourself.
