Hillary Clinton takes lead in polls
A new NBC/WSJ poll shows Hillary Clinton, who formally accepted the Democratic Party's nominee for president last week, with a nine-point lead over rival Donald Trump.

ACLU takes Pasco to court over minority voting
A lawsuit filed against the city of Pasco alleges that its current method of voting that prevents Latinos from meaningfully participating in local government. Members of Pasco's city council are elected at-large, which the lawsuit, citing the federal Voting Rights Act, argues unfairly dilutes the Latino vote.
