VISUAL ARTS | Join some fellow aspiring artists at the MAC for Evening Urban Sketching, a monthly series that helps artists of all levels get the hang of sketching outside.
Thursday, Aug. 11
FILM | The Garland's Summer Camp movie series continues with arguably the best blockbuster of them all, Raiders of the Lost Ark. It plays on Tuesday as well. Remember the awesomeness? Look at this trailer:
FOOD & DRINK | Join the INCA crew for a cooking class at Spokane Community College, this week offering "Perfected Steak" on its educational menu.
Friday, Aug. 12
FOOD & DRINK | It's the inaugural edition of the Spokane Brewers Festival at the Spokane Arena, offering all kinds of tasty treats for sampling, along with music and grub. Look for a story in the new edition of the Inlander later this week. It also runs on Saturday.

COMMUNITY | It's time again for the Garland Street Fair and Car Show, where you can check out some classic rides while dining on local fare and catching live tunes on two stages all day.
