I stood in the forlorn halls of the Spokane Airport as you slowly walked
away, each confident, professionally dressed step jabbing directly into my
heart. Your long luminescent light- brown once blonde hair danced
incandescently on your shoulders in defiance of the lugubrious occasion.
You bid your misty-eyed family adieu and graced my field of vision for the
last time. You may be destined for 1-3 years in the land of the rising sun
but I am confident that the sun won't set on our love.
