Fake Sob Story

Posted on Sat, Oct 15, 2011 at 8:34 AM

Jeers to the guy who came to my back door on Monday morning giving us a sob
story. You said you were our neighbor and worked at the E.R. at Holy
Family. You told us that your girlfriend was broken down at Ferdinan Lake
and you needed gas money to go rescue her. Anything would help for gas and
you would pay us back as soon as you returned to town. We only had $8.00
but we helped you because we believed your story. What you didn't know was
that my husband just got jilted on a job that was promised to him, and that
we have been struggling ourselves, financially and physically. We were
taken in by a thief and that is our own fault, we thought we were helping a
neighbor. I am the captain of our neighborhood watch but I sure feel
foolish. I won't be helping any more strangers thanks to you. I hope the
$8.00 helped you get whatever was so important that you had to come to our
door. Remember Karma is still alive and well this day and age. I know it
was only a small amount, but it was all we had on us. Thanks- Foolish
