Jeers to a jealous jerk! While celebrating the Chiefs Chalupa goal in the
3rd period on Sat, January 21, 2012, in section 115, a
bearded-red-and-black-hat-wearing guy next to me took advantage of my
temporary distraction and surreptitiously stole my Darren Kramer bobble
head/gloves! My friend and I got our tickets at 5:30 and patiently waited
in line until 6:02 when the wonderful Spokane Arena staff opened the doors.
After enjoying a period and a half of spectacular hockey, the
aforementioned fugitive joined his friends next to us. With 3:08 left on
the clock, the Chiefs scored their fifth goal of the game, sealing the
victory and free Chalupas. I proceeded to high five my friend, and the guy
next to me. Another minute of game time passed, and I noticed the thief and
his friends leaving. Once the game was over and any last minute booing of
the refs and Winterhawks had passed, I looked down and saw that my bobble
head had disappeared. Boo to the bobble head thief. But the story will not
end on a bad note! CHEERS to the best friend a guy could ask for for
graciously giving me his bobble head!
