I decided to go on my first run in five years on the Valentine's Day after
I ended my seven-year relationship with my boyfriend. I figured if I could
push through the pain of a run, I could push through the pain of this
break-up. I was running on 37th in the dark and snow, when you ran up
behind me. You said I should join the running club on Regal, and said "Good
job!" several times. "Good job" when my muscles were screaming and lungs
burning and heart breaking. That "good job" lifted my spirits and renewed
my motivation. Thank you for showing up out of nowhere with encouragement
when I needed it most.
