Waiting

Posted on Sat, Feb 25, 2012 at 8:23 AM

Jeers to the physician who recently left patients waiting over 2 ½ hours
for their scheduled appointments. At no time did staff offer an explanation
for the delay, issue any form of apology for the outrageously long wait or
extend the offer to reschedule appointments. I am also a professional who
lost an important part of my work day waiting for this professional who
obviously had little regard for my time. Equally upsetting was a fellow
waitees remark that they (the doctor and office staff) are so used to
working with old people that they figure we have all the time in the world
and it doesn't matter. Sadly I was thinking the same thing earlier as I
noticed the average age of the individuals in the waiting room was probably
70 years. This just added to the blatant disregard for the value of
people's time. I don't care how many years this individual spent in medical
school, shame on you doctor!
