Bus Rider

I first laid my eyes on you when you sat in front of me on the city bus.
You carried yourself with effortless perfection. Your light mocha skin
looked so soft against the glistening rays from the sun, but even the sun
doesn't shine as bright as your smile, which I only caught half of. Your
silky black hair is cut short and sleek and you are petite like I am. Your
beautiful chocolate brown eyes crossed paths with mine for only a moment,
then you got off the bus. I saw you again about a month later on April
Fools Day at Jack in the Box, and I was the fool that day for not
introducing myself. You seemed busy maintaining fryers and assembling
burgers so I'm sure you didn't notice me. I was the short gal sitting at
the front center booth with reddish brown hair. I am determined to get to
know you so I guess I'll be eating a lot of Jack in the Box until I get the
nerve to do so.
