Food Assistance Misunderstanding

Posted on Sat, May 5, 2012 at 8:23 AM

Do your kids get perfect grades? Because my tax dollars pay for their
public schooling and I'm not paying for them to just sit there and not pay
attention. Have you ever used studded tires? My tax dollars are fixing the
roads you're insisting on tearing up. I wish people knew how taxes worked,
you would be taxed the same amount of money even if they cut the state food
assistance program. Your tax dollars would just go to a government
officials new car instead of a needy family buying food for their children.
Remember, even "those poor people" have paid taxes all their lives so they
could reap the benefits of a system that says they have the right to buy
their children food, even if you don't think they should. Stop freaking out
and acting like your money is directly paying for something it's not. Just
be happy and worry about your own healthy choices, not some family who
already has it hard enough.
