Re: Blue Recycle Buckets

So you had a misunderstanding with the city of Spokane about the old
recycle bins, and you lost yours. Jeers to you for choosing to deal with
the situation by jeering and ranting and issuing meaningless threats (do
you really think anyone cares whether you, as one individual, recycle or
not? I'm sure the folks at the city are shaking in their boots). Let me
present you with at least one other option you could have chosen. You could
have posted a Cheers to congratulate the city for finally getting its act
together and going to single-stream recycling. Then you could have
explained the loss of your old recycle bin, and politely asked if anyone
had one they didn't want that they could give you. I'll bet you would have
had more offers of little blue bins than you could shake a stick at. And
jeers not just to this person, but to all of us (I include myself, because
I sometimes do it too) who react with knee-jerk anger when we feel we've
been wronged, rather than trying to find a way to make the situation
better. Could we all start trying to be a little more mature?
