Cafe Italiano closes

Posted By and on Thu, Feb 2, 2012 at 11:38 AM

Last week, in our annual Cheap Eats issue, I went on a quest to find a really good plate of spaghetti in Spokane. Thinking I'd find no good pasta, I found four delicious plates of spaghetti — one, of which, was at Cafe Italiano, on Spokane's far north side.

Welp, my thrill for the strip-mall joint just deflated. The restaurant posted this on its Facebook page on Monday:

Cafe Italiano will be permanently closed Feb 1st. Thanks for all the support from our loyal customers over the last couple years. As a way to go out with a bang, all drinks (sodas, beer & wine) will be 1/2 off until they're gone. Stay tuned for more information about our new location, etc.

Dammit, economy! We're hoping this "new location" is a little closer to Inlander HQ...
