Fall Folk Festival

There will be zithers and Celtic bands of all kinds. Clogs and kilts are encouraged, but not required. These things and more will fill the SCC Lair, showcasing a wide range of cultures and traditions for the community to immerse itself in all weekend long. Since its humble beginnings at the Unitarian Universalist Church during the unforgettable ice storm of 1996, the local festival has grown substantially, now hosting more than 100 performing groups over two days. The festival also hosts numerous artisan vendors, craft stations and workshops, including an African Dance Party. Hosted by the Spokane Folklore Society, it’s likely the only place to hear Asian, Americana, and Euro music and watch an authentic hula dance in the same day. Come rock out with your autoharp out, no experience necessary.
