Housing for Rarely or Never Seen Birds

When: June 1-30, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. 2017

A parallel-dimensional coot (mathematically proven to exist), a carnival act assistant, an alien artifact, a bird that can only be seen when illuminated by lightning, and the ever dangerous "Dark Matter Duck" are just some of the creatures that inhabit the extreme edges of existence for which artist Steven Sattler has designed housing. The artist, whose compound borders the Turnbull Wildlife Refuge, found there to be an alarming shortage of homes for this undocumented and ignored segment of the bird population. Exhibit on display June 1-30; open daily during library hours.
