Howie Mandel

Howie Mandel was kicking up yuks well before his job as host of Deal or No Deal and then as a judge on America’s Got Talent made him a seemingly omnipresent TV force. As a stand-up comic, his manic energy served him well, particularly with a gag in which he pulled a rubber surgical glove over his head and blew it up with his nose. Subtlety, clearly, is not Mandel’s thing, but his act has evolved even as TV and film roles took up more of his time, and he still performs upwards of 200 stand-up dates a year.
