When: Tue., Feb. 27, 12 p.m. 2018
The annual fundraiser for Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital offers guests a close-up look at how a leading children’s hospital responds to the needs of an entire community during a crisis. Last year the community was rocked by the tragedy at Freeman High School. As injured children were transported to Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital, the entire Providence team jumped into action. Dr. Jim Mellema, a pediatric intensive care physician at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital, shares how that challenging day unfolded. Guests will also hear from one of the families directly impacted by the Freeman shooting. No charge to attend; registration required and guests will be asked to make a donation.
