When: Fri., Sept. 18, 4-9 p.m. and Sat., Sept. 19, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. 2015
The 1600 block of Sherman Avenue is temporarily transformed into a family-friendly Makers District, with live music, food trucks, a beer garden, lawn games, the Sorensen Elementary School jugglers, and other entertainment. Sept. 18, 4-9 pm and Sept. 19, 11 am-9 pm. The temporary transformation will showcase what revitalization could look like on East Sherman in a Makers District where local businesses create their goods. Parking spaces will be temporarily converted into a pop-up park and road will be temporarily narrowed to demonstrate how it could accommodate an on-street bike lane, narrower travel lanes, and landscaping.
