Test. Test. Is This Thing On? -- So it isn't every day we ask for reader input - and maybe that's why we didn't get even one tiny e-mail from you guys telling us what your favorite album of 2004 is. Not one. Zero. But hush, dear furry readers, all is well. You might not have understood our call. Honestly, we want to know what you think about the year in music. And if you don't want to tell us - well, that's fine, too. We'll extend our call for your favorite albums of the year for a bit longer, maybe until we get at least one e-mail. Send your picks to [email protected]. Don't worry. She won't bite ... hard.





Pull the Plug -- We wouldn't go so far as to call ourselves Scrooges - but we're certainly not Santa's little helpers here around Inlander HQ. That said, we can't tell you how happy we are to have a year to recover from having Christmas music seep into every part of our lives for the past two months. Elevators. Hold music. Radio stations. And if the classics aren't bad enough, we knew there was no escape when Ringo Starr's "Christmas Time Is Here Again" played twice while we finished up our holiday shopping.





Collect 'em All -- Sport-os have baseball cards, football cards -- crap, even hockey cards. But what about the rest of us? What about those of us who shun pro sports, preferring instead to get our weekend dose of corruption and slavish hero worship from rock music? Well, thanks to Ben Cater and his crew at the B-Side, rock fans -- and local rock stars -- will finally get their due. Spokane Rock Star trading cards -- featuring pictures of local rock illuminati (on the front) and vital statistics (on the back) -- can now be purchased out of their own vending machine (!) at the B-Side for only a buck. Volume one contains such high-profile local performers as Missy Mang, Gorilla & amp; Rabbit, DJ Parafyn, Jon "The Creeps" Coker and Jamie Maker. Hot, kids. Very, very hot.
