Spokane in the Great Depression

Local historian and S-R reporter Jim Kershner talks about Spokane in the 1930s, touching on the local bank failures, WPA and CCC projects, the Grand Coulee Dam, unemployed workers and the Spokane Art Center, which provided work for artists and art lessons for thousands. May 13 from 6:30-7:30 pm; also May 15 at the North Spokane branch.
