Spokane Jazz Orchestra

The Spokane Jazz Orchestra is mixing it up a bit with their latest show, foregoing some of the classic tunes you’ve probably heard them play in favor of a set packed with songs written strictly by Northwest composers. It’s always nice to get something fresh, right? In this case, some of the songs have been composed by members of the orchestra itself, while others were penned by the night’s guest vocalist, Nicole Lewis, as well as a few from University of Idaho music professor and composer Vern Sielert. Talk about a perfect way to cap off an evening full of local beer or wine or dinner from a local farm-to-table restaurant.
