Summerfest in Coeur'Alene

The annual Northwest Bach Festival is one of the most noteworthy cultural happenings every winter, and you might find yourself yearning to hear the intricate intensity of the festival’s Grammy-winning artistic director, Zuill Bailey, playing cello months ahead of time. You’re in luck, as the Bach Fest’s Summer Festival brings Bailey and some insanely talented players to the area for a series of concerts, including three Bailey solo performances (Aug. 25 at 9 pm, Aug. 26 at 8 pm, Aug. 27 at 11 am) at the exhibit “The Wall That Heals,” a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial visiting Mirabeau Meadows (see facing page for more details).
