The Cashore Marionettes

When: Sun., Oct. 26, 2 p.m. 2014

Puppet shows aren’t just for children; though the Cashore Marionettes aren’t exactly puppets, either. As part of WSU Performing Arts’ fall performance lineup, the renowned and stunningly beautiful marionettes created by award-winning artist Joseph Cashore are taking their stringed limbs to the stage. The marionettes’ moving performance of scenes familiar in everyday life are set to a score of music by well-known classical composers — Beethoven, Vivaldi, Strauss — as each character portrays emotions of humor, pathos and human insight.
